Tech Tips:

Basic maintenance tips, tools commonly used and roadside repair guide.

Welcome friends to the "Tech Tips" page of Get-Into-Cycling.com. Now that you've got your bike, wouldn't you like to keep it running as good as when you first got it? Well, you've come to the right section. Bicycle maintenance is a costly expense, but we'll give you tips and techniques to keep your bike running without costing an arm and a leg (you'll need those body parts to keep riding you know.....)

We'll cover simple repairs and tune-ups you can do at home. We'll also show you the various tools that you can purchase to do more extensive repairs on your bike if you choose to do so. Plus, we've included some quick fixes for those "common" pesky roadside or off-road breakdowns: Flat tires, tube repair, etc.

For more information on bicycle maintenance, there are many fine sites on the internet. Additionally, your local library and book stores have many great guides to help including The Bicycling Guide to Complete Bicycle Maintenance and Repair: For Road and Mountain Bikes(Expanded and Revised 5th Edition) which is a great resource for cyclists of all levels.
