1915: Military folding bicycle is produced by Italian bicycle company Bianchi. Bianchi now calls it the first dual suspension mountain bike!
1919: The first yellow jersey of the Tour de France is won by a Belgian.
1920: Kids bikes were introduced and manufactured by Mead, Sears and Roebuck, and Montgomery Wards.
1927: Tullio Campagnolo invents the quick-release wheels.
1932: Charles Mochet designs the velocar. It's a recumbent bicycle that broke the mile and kilometer speed records.
1933: Tullio Campagnolo invents the derailleur gear.
1933-34: Schwinn produces the balloon tire.
1938: Cable shifted derailleur introduced by Simplex.
